Greener Travel Handbook

At Hampstead Hill School, we actively encourage our participants to engage with our Green Travel Plan (available to read at the administration desk). If you can avoid driving your children to School, we strongly suggest you do so, we have cycle storage facilities and buggy storage at school. Cycling is a great fun and healthy way to bring your children to school if possible!

WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK – Several times a year, we hold walk to school week, where ALL parents are encouraged to walk their children to school. We actively promote Car Pooling and parents can arrange this through our message board on the Parent Portal.

We have been asked by Camden to make the following known to our parents: “We wish to inform parents that Camden council, after a six month review of its cross party strategy on the School Run, has agreed to continue with the policy of reducing dispensation permits for car parking in residential areas in the Borough. Camden will enforce this parking policy. Pay and display bays may be available in the school vicinity, but there are very few of them. You may be interested to enquire about your school travel plan, which gives advice and support on travelling to school in a more environmentally sustainable way.” Transport for London (TFL) have a useful website covering all aspects of public transport, including greener travel, which can be visited online at http://www.tfl.gov.uk
