During all school holiday periods, except for the Christmas break, Hampstead Hill School operates a ‘Holiday Scheme’ which is open to all pupils from the end of Reception Year onwards. The Holiday Scheme is not covered by your School fees and is charged daily according to the trip/activity.
A full schedule of activities and booking form is sent home about two to three weeks before the relevant holidays and children can be booked in, in advance, for as many days as required. We do our very best to accommodate anyone with a last minute emergency and if there is no space available on the scheme we can always offer childcare in school. Although the scheme does not operate over the Christmas break we do offer childcare in school if required.
The Holiday Scheme offers ‘in house’ and locally based activities during the half-term breaks such as Art & Craft, Cookery, Model Making and trips out to Golders Hill Park, the cinema and the RAF Museum. Over the Easter Holidays similar activities take place, some with an Easter theme, and in addition there are some day trips to places such as London Zoo, The Royal Gunpowder Mills, a Canal Boat Picnic Cruise and Bowling.
The scheme runs for the whole seven weeks of the summer holidays and includes a full week of ‘Taekwando’, a full week of ‘Football Training’, several ‘Circus Skills Workshops’ and several ‘Pony Days’ too. There are generally less ‘in house’ days over the summer and day trips include places like Woburn Safari Park, the beach, Hellfire Caves, The Horse Trust, Hatfield House, Kew Gardens and Mountfitchit Norman Castle.
