Andrea Taylor

Hampstead Hill Staff Teacher

HHS has been a part of my life since I was a small child, as my mother founded the school to provide somewhere for my sister and I to attend.   Having trained to teach drama I came to help at HHS one Summer while my mother was in hospital and became deeply involved with an autistic child who stole my heart – so I stayed!  In the 1970s, by which time I had one child, my mother retired and in the 1980s, by which time I had three children, I opened my own separate branch of the school to take children up to the age of 7+/8+ as I could see there was a need for this.  Having helped to restore St Stephen’s I was immensely proud to be able to move our older children into their new school building within its Grade 1 listed walls in our 60th anniversary year, 2009, thus uniting the whole school on one site.
